Anamnesis
„You abominable cow!“
This contemporary Hungarian play takes place in a hospital. The setting serves as a metaphor for life, death, and modern morality. The story of a man who arrives to the hospital to identify his supposedly deceased mother changes into an adventurous journey full of unexpected obstacles and obstructions. Our daily experience with the healthcare system is met with a Kafkaesque world full of senseless bans and pseudo-rules that value a man’s life to zero. The boundary between reality and the grotesque is disappearing, as well as the line between reality and metaphor, and between tragedy and farce. Hilarious and insightful peek into the daily goings-on of a hospital, where everything is slightly biased, hostile, and almost lethal to a man.
