Václav Vašák
Member of Divadlo Na zábradlí ensemble since 2015.
He was born in Humpolec, studied at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. His first contract was at the National Theatre in Brno, where he spent almost eleven seasons, with a year’s break when he travelled around New Zealand. In 2010 he was shortlisted for the Thalia Award for his portrayal of Jiří Voskovec in the production of V+W: The Letters. In 2011, he joined Prague’s Vinohrady Theatre and since the 2015/16 season he has been a permanent member of Divadlo Na zábradlí ensemble. He has made guest appearances at the Ungelt Theatre, Meet Factory, Letí Theatre and the Estates Theatre. In addition to theatre acting, he also appears in film and television series.
